AIIC Guidelines
AIIC issues guidelines on matters of concern to interpreters and interpretation users. Its purpose is to establish best practices, which ensure the best possible conditions for interpreting. These guidelines cover a wide range of issues such as interpretation on television, technical specifications, sign language interpretation, volunteer work as an interpreter, etc.

ISO Standards
AIIC works with ISO to develop international standards relating to conference interpreting services and the requisite technical equipment. Many such standards have been adopted and form part of the daily lives of conference organisers while others are still in the pipeline.
